A disused hotel in eastern China that was slated for demolition has provided a rare advertisement for quality construction in a country more usually associated with shoddy build standards.
Wrecking crews began the job of razing the former three-star Minghu Hotel in Jinan, capital of Shandong province, in early August, but they were not expecting it to put up such a noble fight, Tencent News reported on Thursday.
